There are four main types: ratchet straps, cam buckle straps, winch straps, and cargo nets. Each has its place depending on load type, weight, and how often you need to adjust.
Best for heavy, rigid loads. The ratchet mechanism lets you apply precise tension and lock it in. Available in 1", 2", and 4" widths — wider means higher WLL. Use for ATVs, motorcycles, equipment, and pallets.
Better for lighter, delicate loads where over-tightening is a risk. Easier to release quickly. Good for kayaks, bikes, and soft goods. Not suitable for heavy equipment.
Designed for flatbed trailers with E-track or winch bars. Very high WLL ratings. Standard for commercial hauling. Require a winch bar to tension properly.
Great for keeping loose items from shifting — not for primary load securing. Use as a supplement to straps, not a replacement.
